Dr Matthew

Dr Matthew

Dentist

Dr Matthew was born in South Korea and moved to New Zealand at the age of 8. Having an uncle that was a dentist played a big role for Dr Matthew to spark up an ambition to get into the industry.
After obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Physiology at the University of Otago, Dr Matthew made the bold move to migrate to the Gold Coast on his own to work and study where he received his Masters of Dentistry from Griffith University.
Dr Matthew’s enthusiasm towards learning did not fade after 9 years of university education. He is ever so determined to keep his knowledge and skills up to date on current scientific literature by regularly attending Continuing Professional Development courses nationally and internationally. He is passionate about cosmetic dentistry, orthodontics and wisdom teeth surgery. With the help of modern digital technology, he is devoted to providing excellent and virtuous dentistry.

Outside of dentistry, you can find Dr Matthew playing soccer/futsal or in the pool playing water-polo. He promotes good mental and physical health which is why he is always ready for an outdoor adventure or adrenaline activity. His most anticipated activity would be the annual ski trip to NZ where he also gets to catch up with his family.
