Dental veneers are thin, custom-made shells designed to cover the front surface of teeth to improve their appearance. They are a popular cosmetic dental treatment for addressing issues like discolouration, wear, chips, gaps, or minor mild misalignments.
At TFI Connect Dentistry, our registered dental practitioners offer veneer treatments, including porcelain veneers, composite veneers, and innovative minimally-invasive hybrid veneers. We provide consultations to assess your individual goals, determine your suitability, and explain the procedure, benefits, and risks of each option to help you make a fully informed decision.
We offer a range of veneer solutions to meet different aesthetic goals, budgets, and preferences for tooth preparation.
It is important to understand that not every patient is a suitable candidate for every type of veneer. Suitability depends on factors such as your oral health, existing tooth structure, and desired outcome. All veneer procedures carry potential considerations, including the need for long-term maintenance, which must be discussed in detail with a registered dental practitioner.
Porcelain veneers are crafted from high-quality dental ceramic and are well regarded for their durability and natural appearance. Crafted from high-quality dental ceramic in our in-house lab, they resist stains better than composite resin and beautifully mimic the light-reflecting properties of natural tooth enamel.
Porcelain veneers typically require some preparation of the natural tooth structure to create a strong bond and a seamless fit. With proper care, porcelain veneers are a considered one of the durable cosmetic dentistry solutions, often serving patients well for 10 to 15 years or even longer.
Composite veneers are a more affordable and minimally invasive option, made from tooth-coloured resin that is applied and shaped directly onto the teeth in a single visit. They provide an effective way to improve chips, gaps, or discolouration with little to no alteration of your natural tooth structure.
With proper care, composite veneers can last around 3 to 5 years, though they are less durable and more prone to staining or chipping compared to hybrid or porcelain veneers. While they remain a conservative choice for achieving the aesthetic transformation, patients should be aware of the need for more regular maintenance or replacement, with final suitability determined after a dentist’s evaluation.
Hybrid veneers are a minimally invasive option compared to porcelain veneers, crafted from advanced resin or nano-ceramic materials that offer strong aesthetic and functional results. Thanks to nanofiller technology, they provide precise margins and a natural-looking fit while preserving more of your tooth structure, often achievable in a single visit*.
With proper oral hygiene, hybrid veneers can last around 5 to 10 years—more durable than composite but not as long lasting as porcelain—and while they may require more frequent maintenance or replacement, they remain a conservative way to achieve the teeth transformation.
At TFI Connect Dentistry, our in-house dental laboratory is a significant advantage for veneer patients. This allows for close collaboration between your dentist and our master technicians throughout the design process.
Utilising advanced technology such as digital scanning and imaging, we are able to design and create your custom veneers with incredible precision. This integrated process helps streamline treatment timelines and allows for easy adjustments to ensure your new smile is perfect. A consultation is necessary to determine the most appropriate treatment plan for your individual circumstances.
We’ll begin with a detailed consultation to discuss your smile goals and assess which type of veneer is right for you. We use digital smile design technology to show you a preview of your potential new smile. We’ll take comprehensive scans and images of your teeth to plan your treatment and provide a clear outline of considerations and risks involved with each option, costs and payment options.
If you choose porcelain veneers, a minimal layer of enamel may be removed to accommodate the veneer. Precise digital impressions are then sent to our on-site lab where your custom veneers are meticulously crafted. For composite veneers or eligible hybrid veneers, this step is greatly reduced or eliminated, and the veneers can often be placed in the same visit.
Once your custom veneers are ready, we will carefully check their fit and colour against your natural teeth. After any final adjustments, your teeth will be gently etched, and the veneers will be permanently bonded into place. This is the exciting moment when your transformed smile truly comes to life.
Porcelain veneers cost and the price of other veneer types vary based on the number of veneers, the material chosen, and the complexity of your case. Following a thorough consultation, we provide a detailed treatment plan with transparent costs and available payment options.
